Terms of Service

1. About AILL

AILL ("we," "us," "our") is a sole proprietorship operated by Sujala Deva, based in Hyderabad, India. AILL operates the website aill.in and provides an AI-powered learning platform ("Service") featuring a voice-based tutor called "Guru," designed for students in Grades 5 through 10.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By registering an account, purchasing a subscription, or using the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

3. Eligibility and Parental Consent

Our Service is intended for students aged 10 to 17 (Grades 5 to 10), all of whom are minors under Indian law. Only a parent or legal guardian may register, subscribe, make payments, and consent to these Terms on behalf of a minor. By registering, you represent that you are the parent or legal guardian of the student who will use the Service, and that you consent to your child's use of the Service under your supervision.

4. Account Registration

You must provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at hello@aill.in if you suspect unauthorized access.

5. Free Trial and Subscriptions

Free Trial: Every new account includes 20 minutes of free Service usage. No credit card is required. No automatic conversion to a paid plan occurs.

Paid Plans: Paid subscriptions grant access to the Service for the duration stated. Pricing displayed on aill.in at the time of purchase is the applicable price. All prices are in Indian Rupees (INR).

6. Payments

All payments are processed through a third-party payment gateway. AILL does not store your payment card details. By making a payment, you also agree to the payment gateway's applicable terms.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful educational purposes. You agree NOT to:

  • Attempt to access another user's account
  • Reverse engineer, scrape, or probe the Service's security
  • Use the Service to generate, upload, or transmit content that is unlawful, harmful, harassing, or inappropriate for minors
  • Resell or redistribute access to the Service
  • Use automated tools or bots to interact with the Service
  • Violate any applicable Indian law while using the Service

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, without refund where termination is due to user misconduct.

8. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

Guru, our AI tutor, generates responses using large language models. While we take significant effort to align Guru with educational best practices, AI-generated content may occasionally contain errors, inaccuracies, or unexpected responses. AILL does not guarantee the accuracy of every response and recommends that parents and students verify critical information against authoritative sources such as standard school textbooks. AILL is not a substitute for a qualified human teacher, tutor, counsellor, or medical or mental health professional.

9. Intellectual Property

All content, branding, software, and materials on aill.in are owned by AILL / Sujala Deva. AILL's teaching aligns with topics in the NCERT educational framework, which is a publicly available structure for school education in India. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works of AILL's proprietary content without prior written permission.

10. Service Availability

We strive to keep the Service available 24/7 but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Scheduled maintenance, third-party provider outages, or technical failures may cause temporary downtime. Extended outages are addressed under our Refund Policy.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Indian law, AILL's total liability for any claim arising from use of the Service is limited to the amount you paid to AILL in the 60 days preceding the claim. AILL is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including learning outcomes, exam results, or loss of data.

12. Termination

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. AILL may suspend or terminate your account for violation of these Terms or applicable law. Termination under Section 7 does not entitle you to a refund; termination for our inability to deliver the Service is governed by our Refund Policy.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified by email and/or a prominent notice on aill.in at least 7 days before taking effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

14. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, including the Consumer Protection Act, 2019. Subject to your statutory rights as a consumer under Indian law, any dispute arising under these Terms shall preferably be resolved through good-faith dialogue. Where that is not possible, disputes may be addressed before the competent courts or consumer forums having jurisdiction.
